Finale 2014.5
Windows
I am currently having a problem with an ultra-specific playback problem. I've been using finale for years, but now I've moved to a new computer and an issue I've never had appeared on one of my new pieces. I have a steel drum rolling on octaves (articulation 34 with 3 lines). This plays back fine usually, but now that I saved and came back to the piece, sometimes the octaves in the playback are randomly changed in octaves. This occurs even when I change the notes. I tried reassigning playback sounds but that didn't work.
This octave change issue stopped when I turned off human playback, but now there are no rolls altogether. Is there a method for me to keep the rolls without the random octave changes? Thank you!

We probably need a lot more to go on. Is there a file you can attach? Looks like you're new to the forum. There might be a waiting period before you can post an uploaded file.

So I just tried playing the piece again and now other single rolls are becoming octave shifted also.
I attached the piece to this chat.

Also, here's an audio file that shows what I hear. The main problem is in the lead pans, so I solo'd the audio. Most of the issues start around 29 seconds.

When I pasted some of the offending measures into a fresh document, they played back correctly. There must be something interfering in your file. I haven't found what, yet.

I am having the same issue as well..... I too did what you did and copied and pasted some of the measure into a new document and they played back fine. i am not really wanting to open a whole new document and start over...
