Finale Audio Effects vs. Aria Player

Greetings all, Does anyone know what is the difference between Finale Audio Units Banks & Effects vs. Aria Player? Do they interact with each other in any way? I'm trying to adjust the reverb in a Finale score, and it seems that any changes I make to Finale Effects make no difference to the playback. Aria player controls DO produce audible changes, which is great. However, I'd like to understand the two different choices, just so I can make sure one isn't negating another. Thanks!
