Finale 26.0.0.703; Mac Mojave 10.14; Roland A-49 controller via USB; Finale user since 1986 (Windows)

Just switched to Mac, so be kind. I use Finale for jazz solo transcribing so I have Transcribe app up with an mp3 file all the time and continuously toggle between Finale & Transcribe. On Windows, this was no problem as far as my MIDI was concerned. With my iMac Pro, when I bring the Transcribe app to the front, it shuts off the MIDI signal. Not only that, when I return to Finale, I can only get a MIDI single in one of two ways.
First way, I select a measure with Speedy Entry tool and the sound is back, but only while in Speedy Entry mode. If I go to another tool such as accidentals - no sound. However, if I go to Send MIDI Value under the MIDI/Audio dropdown and select "Send", I restore the MIDI signal until I toggle back to my Transcribe app. Then same thing all over again. This is never intermittent and very predictable. I contacted Andy at Seventh String who designed Transcribe and he says it's a Finale issue - not his app. By the way, play back is no issue. Chris

You might want to try the built in feature in Finale to load an mp3 file into Finale and transcribe all in Finale. No second program is needed.

Zuill, do mean that Finale can Transcribe an mp3 audio file into Finale Notation?
That would be awesome!

No. I don't mean that. I mean you can load an mp3 file into Finale, and then transcribe it without having to toggle between programs. You still have to have an ear and do the work. In order to sync the mp3 to the measures, you can tap the tempo with the Transcrption Tool. This all needs to be dome in Studio View.
