Import WAV file into GPO5 and the Aria player in Mac

I've created a sound as a WAV file that I'd like to use in Finale in GPO5. It's actually a spoken work that I recorded several times in different ways so that it sounds like a small group of people speaking the word. When I worked in Windows, I could place a WAV file like this, or any other imported sound, into one of the GPO5 libraries and the Aria player would create an SFZ file on the fly. Now that I work in Mac, that procedure doesn't work.
I'm placing the WAV file into one of the GPO5 libraries, separately as a WAV and as a renamed SFZ file. But the filename doesn't appear in the Aria player in the sound library either way.
How do I render the WAV file usable in Finale in GPO5 and in the Aria player?
I've tried adding the audio track directly to Finale, but the track then plays back way too fast--much faster than the speed of the recorded word. I suppose I could use this method if I could slow the track's playback, but I can't figure that out. Still, I prefer to add the WAV or SFZ file in GPO5.
Thanks.
