possibility of playing notes outside standard range?

Is it possibile to get Finale (Aria Player) to play notes outside the standard range of an instrument? In my case I'm referring to the bass extension of the harpsichord. Many French 18th century harpsichords had a bass range descending as low as G1 with Finale any notes below C will not play. Is there a plug-in or some other trick for extending instrumental ranges?

It's not Finale that is stopping you from playing those notes.
It is the library you are using (the library = the set of sounds).

If you want an extended range for your harpsichord then you will have to find a library that contains those extra notes.
The library that comes with Finale was recorded on an instrument that stopped at C.

There are work-arounds for stretching those last few notes, but they will NOT sound good at all, and they are a pain in the bass to manage.

Thanks for your reply, Michel. Do you happen to know if any such libraries are readily available?

I'm afraid not, sorry.
There most likely are, but I have not shopped any of them since I have very little need for the instrument.

You might try the SmartMusic SoftSynth harpsichord, which can play any note.
