I've noticed that some of the default instruments I received with Finale v25 don't follow dynamic markings that I set for them. So then I decide to switch to using the faders in the mixer window and that doesn't work either.
I'd be grateful for any solutions.

Copy and paste a few measures of your score into Finale's "Default Document," making sure HP is enabled. If the dynamic markings are honored in playback then I would suspect your library file might have something in it that Finale does not like. Uploading a sample of the problem will help the wizards at this forum find a solution.
