Same instrument sounds on all parts with note entry

Hi,

I've searched for an answer to this in the forum, but so far can't find it.

Using Finale 25.5.0.259 on MBP late 2018, OS10.13.6

When I enter notes using midi (controller is KORG micro key air 25) sound is same in all parts, no matter what the instrument in the score manager says -- e.g. flute sound across all parts, regardless -- which also means in parts below middle C, I don't hear anything (below flute sound range).

In playback, the sounds are normal (as listed in score manager) and same if I enter notes using computer keyboard and no midi device (normal sounds).

Is there a known problem with this midi-controller? I seem to have used it in the past without this problem, so I'm also wondering if there is a set up issue.

Oh, and "reassign Playback Sounds" does not fix the problem -- just in case that was the first suggestion that springs to mind (as it was for me)

Set it to "Smart."
