Hi everyone,
I am running Finale v25 on Windows 10. Since the last Windows 10 update, all my finale files have a different (slower) tempo on playback.
When I change the tempo the playback stays at the slower speed. Clearing the MIDI tempo and resetting doesn't help either.
Ideas?

If I understand you correctly, you are talking about the Playback Controls (“tempo on playback” - “change the tempo”) - right?

Three things control the tempo in Finale:

MIDI Tool (= the recorded tempo changes)
Expression Tool (= the expression tempo changes)
Playback Controls

And they work in a hierarchical fashion.

The tempo in the Playback Controls is overridden by an Expression that sets a tempo.
This is overridden by the MIDI Tool, which is at the top of the “Tempo Hierarchy”.

I do not understand what you mean by your word “resetting”.
Since clearing the MIDI Tempo does not help, the likely culprit is an expression with playback effect Tempo.

Thank you, it ended up being an expression tempo. Sigh!
