When I have rolled chords in my score, only certain chords hold the full chord for the entire measure. Other chords roll up and only hold the top note for the full measure. See the picture for a better explanation than I'm making here.
In the screenshot, measures 2 and 6 hold the full chord for the full measure, but mm. 1, 3, 4, and 5 only hold the top note.
What am I doing wrong? Help? Thank you!

I duplicated your chords and all of mine play back properly. maybe we need to examine your file, as a picture doesn't tell the whole story.

Sure thing! Attached is the file. The rolled chords come in at ms. 89.
Thank you!

HP gets finicky with Articulations sometimes, especially with the Garritan sounds. This one has the Attack setting Bottom note -256 and Top note 0. Try Bottom note 0 and Top note 256. You can experiment with other settings. I even tried Bottom note -128 and Top note 128. That seemed to work as well. This is using the Garritan sounds. GM or SoftSynth don't have these kind of problems, generally.

Ah! Thank you so much! I will try that and see what the outcome sounds like.

The -128 and 128 values for the bottom and the top did the trick!
Thank you so much!

I'm glad it worked. I know there are different techniques as to whether the bottom note should be on the beat, or the top note be on the beat. With the -128 to 128, it's on both sides of the beat. You can play around with different combinations and can even have different settings for different situations. In Finale, with -256 going to 0, if the roll is in measure 1, you won't get a roll. For this, for many years, I've had to create a separate articulation with 0 to 256 for downbeat rolls. Sometimes, for playback rendering, I would just add a blank measure at the beginning of the piece.
