In a score I'm working on, one staff has an accented semibreve with sfp expression and a crescendo in the following bar. For all its wonders, human playback doesn't seem to understand how a human player would interpret it. The note sounds for the whole bar at its accented volume. If there's a crescendo immediately following the sfp, HP plays it correctly, but not when the cresc. is in the next bar.

Anyone have any advice what I should do to hold the piano for 4 beats please?

It might depend on the sample used. I just tested a GIfF Trumpet and it worked as expected.

Here's a demo file with 3 different instruments. It seems to play as expected, or as close to what could be expected.
