I export my file every day (at this point a 22-minute work in progress) as a wav file so I can listen to it/revise/etc. Never have a problem. Today it produced a wav file that is slightly slower than it should be, and it keeps up the slightly-slower speed all the way through many tempo changes. That is, 100 is a little slow for 100, 120 is a little slow for 120, etc. I originally suspected I had a missing or misplaced tempo marking, but I double checked and everything is right where it should be. I "cleared midi data." Nothing works. Really weird. I just tried to export the same file again and the same thing happened. Any ideas?

Is the pitch right? Make sure you're playing back at the same sample rate it was recorded at.

How would I check that?

Okay, I closed out, rebooted, and now it's fine. It was a weird one, happened a bunch of times, but the restart fixed it.

It's a good idea to always try rebooting first before pulling your hair out.

I totally agree. I don't know why I didn't even try that first. Shame on me. However no hair or furniture was harmed in the process.
