Finale does not honor slurs for legato in playback, so I use the Tab Slide tool for playback of a trombone slide, where the second note is not distinct (the Bend Tool and Guitar Bend Tool both incorrectly pronounce the note to which the slide terminates).

I tried shortening the delay of the slide by selecting "Linear" as the curve in the Human Playback preferences for a realistic portamento; but the curve settings are not functional for me: the slide begins a full beat after the indication. The attack is simply unaffected. I must be overlooking something. Is there any other way to truncate the delay in a trombone slide?

If you uncheck "Delay when possible" in HP preferences (under Glissandi/bends) that would spread the slide over the full duration of the note. However, this is a global setting.
