In my short experience, articulations such as the Fermata work as described if you place them over (attached to) a note. By adjusting the percentages you can get a nice playback affect for say the last note being held out. Has anyone been able to use this function placing the fermata over a quarter note rest (or any other rest) where in theory the rest would be lengthened in time. I find there is no affect or no delay if the fermata is not linked to a note.
I am trying to produce a time delay in the middle of the piece before the next measure begins in playback. Selecting a reduced tempo does increase the time to play the measure, but also attaches itself to a note and lengths the note which is not wanted.
Looking for solutions.
Thanks
Can you use articulations such as fermatas with rests?
