I'm working on a file for my chorus that has a rock shuffle feel. It's a very fast piece in Cut Time. Every time I try to swing the eighth notes, it also swings the walking bass line (mostly straight quarter notes). How can I get playback with a shuffle feel in the eighth notes but also with straight quarter notes?

Yes!!
I set my HP back to Standard on the original file (as you have in the sample I posted), but there is no swing to the eighth notes at all.
What am I missing?

Looks like he added explicit parts to Score List 1. Doesn't make much sense, so perhaps a bug workaround? Also changed the swing playback tab to play swing. Oddly, when I do that in your original file, the 184 tempo mark is ignored. HP setting doesn't seem to matter. He must have done something else, too--hopefully he'll tell us.

3 Things:
1. Set the playback for the Swing expression to Swing at 100 (you can choose a different number; that is Standard)
2. Set the Score list in the category settings to choose all staves in Parts (I unchecked the lower staff of the Piano, as it shares a channel)
3. Change the Time Signature to Cut Time Beamed as 4/4. Otherwise, it will swing quarters, not 8ths.
