Is it no longer possible to set different volume levels for different layers? I used to do that in v12-14, but can't find how to do it in v26.3. I have 4 voices, 2 per staff, using 2 layers and 4 different channels assigned. I want to create 4 audio files, with one voice predominant on each.

I would use JW Staff Polyphony to split a copy of the score into 4 staves. Then, use the mixer to adjust volumes. Takes just seconds.

I have 2014.5, but I doubt if it has changed. In the Score Manager, click the arrow next to the staff name to show the layers, then assign each layer to a different channel. Then you can type in a different volume for each channel.

Thanks, I found the plug-in and installed it. Which option do I select for this task?

You will need to create and set up extra staves, etc., before running the plug-in. Are you sure you don't just want to use the Score Manager?

I don't know why they removed it. I used to do it like you showed.

Click on "Customize View" and check "Mix".

I still like my way, since it allows resetting the levels with sliders, rather than changing numbers. Simply add two staves, one under the treble staff, and one under the bass. Then use Staff Polyphony > Staves > Split from Layers. In the mixer, you can control volume and panning.

Try both ways. Whatever works for you is, by definition, the best way!
