Simple way to extend length of fermata?

Here and there I'd like to just have the fermata last a bit longer. I've looked around a bunch, seen lots of feedback, but it seems more complex than it probably needs to be. I just want to be able to extend the duration of an individual, specific fermata(not make a global change)......what's the simplest way to do this?

How about using two expressions, one expression to slow the tempo down on the fermata, and another expression to return to previous tempo after the fermata?

Educated wild-ass guesses:

My first thought was to duplicate the fermata and adjust the playback, but that seems to be an HP function, rather than one you can change.

Maybe in the MIDI editor? I have no idea if that would work the same with a VST, since I don't know how that stuff works.

Or maybe a hidden time signature change?

There's no way to just extend the fermata a little bit? Just.....3 seconds rather than 1.5?

I don't think there's a "simple way," but I created a text expression ("CTL + U" for fermata) with the playback tempo set to a slower tempo and that worked. You'd need to put a hidden tempo change after to restore the original tempo.
