File won't export to audio in NP

HP Pavilion from 2012 Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz 16.0 GB ram. I'm using Noteperformer 3.

A current project is no longer exporting to audio. File is 547 KB. The playback process gets to 73%, then freezes. The export window shuts down, and puts me back in the file with playback activated but not actually moving, i.e. frozen. A resulting file shows up in my folders, but if I play back there’s no sound.

I tried switching the library to GPO, and that works, but the sound quality isn't bearable after NP.

I also tried this on my relatively new ASO laptop, but same problem.

For what it's worth: yes, this is document 19 out of 18 previous versions, so there may be a lot of hidden or background data accumulating. V.18 runs and exports fine.

I'd rather not export to XML and reimport if I can avoid it, as I'd have to reformat the thing from scratch.

Sounds like an NP problem.

Easiest might be to play it in real time, if that works, and capture the audio with Audacity.
