I was really hoping this would disappear with the upgrade. Alas, no.
Using "Mini Grand" as my piano of choice. Weird, quickly undulating volume stuttering (having trouble describing it!!) continues to plague.
It's almost as if someone was quickly modulating volume... think: some sort of WOW effect...
Anyone?
Just upgraded to the latest version -- stuttering remains!

Others who know more about this than I do will likely come to your rescue but in the meantime:
In Midi/Audio -- Device Setup -- Audio Setup (this is where it is in V25) try playing with Buffer size and try a different Audio driver.

In addition to what Zoots say, experiment with different output sounds--does it happen with both MIDI output and VST? Does it happen with a trumpet, harpsichord, or string section? Does it happen in all passages, with all files? The more information you have, the more chance you'll have of getting to the bottom of it.

Further experimentation when I can manage the time... Thanks
