Hi,

I've been using Finale with its default Garritan sound library for years and quite enjoy it. While there are some electronic synths, pads and sound effects that come with this library, I'd love to be able to expand the collection of electronic instruments I can use for playback.

Here are my questions:

1) Is it possible to add new sound libraries to Finale playback (I'm using version 25.5)?
2) If so, where do people typically find new sounds/instruments to include in Finale? How do I know if a sound library is compatible with Finale?
3) If Finale isn't the best tool for writing music with "EDM" style beats, I'd appreciate recommendations for better tools!

1) Yes

2) The number available sound libraries is vast, and they range in price from free to thousands of dollars. What are you looking for specifically and what is your budget?

3) What is EDM?
Finale 25, Overture, Sibelius, Notion, Cubase, StaffPad
Win10 x64, 32GB RAM, Focusrite Scarlett 18i20
Kontakt, VSL VI Pro, VE Pro, EWQL Orch, Choirs and Pianos

Yep, "EDM" is "electronic dance music." Not looking to create dance music strictly, I'm just interested in the expressive potential of different electronic sounds.

I'm more than willing to pay for a good sound library, but I'm struggling to find sites that would provide these, and I'm not sure how to confirm that any sound libraries I'd purchase would be compatible with Finale.
