Instrument plays back flat

Has anyone found a solution to an instrument suddenly playing back flat? After editing some percussion, the cello began to play back about 1 semitone flat. I closed and reopened Finale but the problem persists.

Pitch wheel? Try clearing MIDI data. And check that you didn't somehow add transposition to that staff.

I solved the problem by switching the instrument from Garritan to Softsynth then back again. But I will keep your suggestion in mind, should the issue resurface. Thanks.
