No playback sound with Speedy Edit

I have only used Simple Edit before this and want to fix this bug before I go any further with speedy edit. I see the bar scroll across the measures and the digital counter track but no sound.

Doesn't sound like it has anything to do with Speedy entry.

I copied the entire score and pasted it into a new blank finale doc. That worked but I don't know why the first one gave no sound.

Just one of those things. That will often correct hidden file corruption or settings.
