I upgraded to Finale 27 (on Windows). Recently, I wrote a passage where I used the glissando smart shape to connect two notes in a string passage. To my surprise, it does not play back as a glissando the way it used to in earlier versions of Finale. Instead, when two notes are connected with the glissando smart shape, the 2nd note sounds, and the first does not. This is despite the fact that the Garritan instruments show "KS" and are the same kinds of instruments where it worked in past versions. I checked that Human Playback is on and that it shows that it should interpret glissandi, and that Glissandi/bends are enabled in the preferences.

Does anyone know if there's a way to get this to work in v27, the way it used to earlier versions of Finale?

Thanks so much for any help on this.

That's very odd. At least with HP on, I've had good results in the past doing glissandi-the one exception is with one string quartet I wrote in which NotePerformer just wont' do 1-2 glissandi at all (while it is ok with others). In that case, it's a known limitation of NotePerformer, not Finale. Finale should work with the settings you've correctly specified, so I'm baffled. Might be worth contacting Finale's tech support.
