THIS JUST IN! A totally new problem! NP automatically assign the non pitched perc sounds to my staff. When I click with Speedy Note entry into a bar and play mu MIDI keyboard I can hear every note as a different non pitched perc instrument.
TERRIFIC! I'm all set to enter my snare part.

BUT every note I paste in sounds like a Vibraphone note now!
I go to a blank bar and stick the Speedy Note cursor and play my MIDI keyboard. Yup! I can play the note (MIDI#37 ) that sounds like snare.

BUT when I enter MIDI #37 it sounds like a low vibraphone!

Any idea what to do??:?

Here's a video of me in all my misery demoing this impasse:

Make sure your percussion is assigned to channel 10

Note Performer sets the channel. Since there are 4 percussion staves, they cannot all be set to Ch 10 can they?

Problm was solved by deleting the affected staves and creating new ones, which worked as expected. Will consider it a one-off, a glitch, an anomoly - unless it recurs!
