kontakt player-how to load a instument into finale 2006?

i know how to program general midi insturments into finale. i cant figure out how to load my native instruments into my music using kontakt and even if i choose "general orchestra percussion" for my virtual rack(on the kontakt keyboard. how do i choose a specific instrument? ex. gong. i can hear a gong on the keyboard. how do i program it into my score? somebody please help. thanks. ihave finale 2006

your best bet would be to draw out a midi map for the garritan general orchestra
look for drum mapping in the users manual.
It should be in there
Not much of a percussionist so cant help u on this one
But I know that there is a way to map it. I think u have to find the note on the virtual keybard then assign it to soething.
Again wish i could be more specific but the manual should teach u eveyrthing u need to know

i dont understand "midi mapping". i didnt see anything like that in the manual, and i dont know how to assign a instrument frome the keyboard.

i went where you told me to. tried for two hours to figure this out.ex. if i choose "auxilirary percussion(channel 10,patch 2)" what now? this is really making me insane. it says gong if i scroll down, i highlight it...... im just so lost.help a retard if you can.thanks

Your best bet is to probably create your won map for the orchestral set in Garritan
Its unfornutate that they didnt set it up. But ur going to have to knaw at that manual and learn to how to map that note that triggers the gong on to a original mapping.
Sorry I cant be of much help but I know that thats the way to do it. Or you can just load it into a DAW such as Cubase or Sonar and work from there.
