Stuttering Playback with Garritan JABB

I've been working in a sequencing program (Sonar) almost exclusively for a while, but am now working on a jazz band project which requires a printed score. I've loaded a full Garritan Jazz Big Band into Finale (07) and experience a significant amount of stutter during playback, especially when saving even just a few bars of the piece as an audio file. Is this a common experience? Is this due, as I suspect, to the CPU demands of the instrumentation?

Also... I updated to 2007a a few days ago, and the program constantly crashed, especially during playback. I reverted back to the "old" 07, and have returned to stability. Any other problems with that update??
