I'm new to Finale. I have Finale Printmusic 2008 for Mac.

My question is, how do I import a MIDI file from online? For example, with the old music software I used (NoteWorthy Composer) I could just copy the address of the MIDI file and open it up in the software. But with the Mac, there's no place to type in a file, it has to be saved on my computer. Is there a way around this?

I'm afraid I don't understand the problem.

What's wrong with downloading the MIDI file?
You can just Option-click on the hyperlink to the MIDI file, then your web browser will begin downloading the file.

When the MIDI file is saved on your hard drive, you can import the MIDI file into PrintMusic.

Thank you so much! I'm new to Mac, so I don't know all of the keyboard shortcuts yet. I didn't know that I could download the midi file.
