Weird Midi Importing Problems EDIT: Example

Hello, I'm a veteran Finale user, but new to the forum. I have numerous MIDI files that I downloaded, and some of them are really weird when I import them.
I'm using Finale 2008a [windows], and importing some midis, Finale seems to import about 2100 measures and span the entire midi over those measures. Some other, low-quality programs import the midi just fine, but finale really is messing up with how it imports the midis. Perhaps it's a certain midi type? Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: May I remind you that I heard that some of the midis were created by tablature producing programs. Perhaps that's the problem?

EDIT: Perhaps the problem isn't explained too well...I can post two midis of the same song, one that will import normally and one that would import with the problem.
