midi sync etc

I use Finale and Gigastudio together and they work like a dream. As my work usually entails adding vocals onto the piece, I have to capure the music as a wave file in Giga, and then import the audio file into Sonar, then record the vocals or live performance. If I need to change anything on the music, its back to Finale, capture the wave etc...As this not really efficient, does anyone have a wrk round for this problem? Finale does send midi sync but that isnt very useful. As FInale is quite configurable, is it possible to create an expression to send mid song pointer info out....?thanks
