Edit midi data to playback accelerando arpeggio

My aprpegio is notated beautifully with feathered beams indicating an accelerando. I comprises six notes, preceded by tied graces. Problem is the ties are ignored, and there's no accelerando. I figure I should use the midi tool to tweak it -- I open the arpeggios with the midi tool, but I'm baffled by what i'm looking at. Could someone point me in the right direction? I'm not sure what midi data I need to change to get the sound I want.
