hi everybody,

i'm new to this forum and have a question about something that's been bothering me for a while: when i'm writing a score and i want to test in my midi keyboard something that i intend to write *before* writing it down to the score finale always gets the notes and writes them already. so it prevents me from experimenting, say, which chord voicing is best before entering it otherwise it will mess the score with all my experimentation. is there a way to put the document i'm working on kind of aside to experiment some notes and then coming back to it to write?

thanks everybody.

If you work in speedy entry, you can noodle all you want. The notes won't go in, until you hit the duration key.
