My problem is that when I play on the keyboard what is in the treble staff and bass staff notes all go up on top. Does anyone know how to change it or set it so it splits up and the proper bass clef notes go on the right staff.
I hope I'm explaining myself right here.
I have a M Audio prokeys 88 stage piano. The notes show up on the ledger lines fine though. I just dont know why it wont split itself automatically onto the right lines....

Second problem, can you divide up chords on Finale?? like if you have a Cmajor chord, like delete only the note "G"???

Look up split point in the Help file. It lets you choose the note (pitch) where the bass and treble staves are separated.

As far as I know, Finale records on 1 staff at a time. Thus a piano part should be done in 2 steps :
- record into staff 1
- select the 2 staves and use the plug-in "Split point" (like Warren suggested) to distribute the notes over the 2 staves. This can be done region by region if needed.

You should have a menu with an icon (a plug). Under it, look for "scoring and arranging"->Split Point.
Always select a region before you apply it.
