Hi,
I cant seem to record a piece "old" style, meaning recording while listening ( reading ) the piece in real time. Which means i really cant record the Garritan sounds. I've looked all over the manual, im sure its there, but after spending hours trying to find it, i would appreciate some help. I'm using Finale 2010.

Yeah, thats not the problem. I can easily record stuff - but not with the Garritan sounds. From the older versions of Finale, you had to listen to the whole piece when recording by default, and thats what im trying to get back. Aparently this is the only way to export Garritan sounds. ( When you dont have plugins )

Somebody who already saved Garritan Audio files in Finale will hopefully chime in.
For the "old" way, there are several applications which record the sound coming out of a selected application on the computer.
On the Mac : Wiretap Studio, Audio Hijack Pro. On the PC : Total recorder, etc...

The issue is with the VST instruments. They only record to .wav, but not to .mp3. It is probably a similar issue that prevents them from recording while playing. You might try the built-recorder in Windows, or perhaps your soundcard came with recording package.
