In setting up my PowerTracks sequencing program, Finale would not recognize the notes I played on my Yamaha keyboard, even though my Yamaha USB device showed in MIDI Setup, both as an input and output device.
Shortly before this malfunction, I: (1) installed the latest Midisport drivers for my MIDI interface from M-Audio, (2) opened PowerTracks, (3) attached MIDI cables, and (4) attached the Midisport MIDI interface to the USB port of my computer.
I then did a System Restore, and, Voila!, Finale started to function correctly and is still functioning correctly.
Does anyone notice conflicts of the type I described between sequencing programs such as PowerTracks and Finale? I haven't given up on using PowerTracks, but not at the "expense" of using Finale.
