Hi!

Is it possible to produce midi files with embedded karaoke lyrics in Finale??

Or does anybody know how that works, links or software that enable this (especially on the Macintosh... :) ).

Thanks!

Not in the way you ask the question. MIDI files are pitches and pitch related data only; no lyrics are provided for.

You're wrong: .kar files are just modified midi files: the midi file specifications do provide tags to include text within a midi file along with a time stamp so that you can attach a piece of lyric to a note. And that's midi.

Let's just implement it in finale.

 By the way, time and key signatures, tempo markings, continuous data etc. embedded in midi files by Finale and many other programs are not pitch related data!!
