Finale 2010 quits when I try to save a score in .mid format

Finale 2010 quits when I try to save a simple piano/voice score in .mid format. (I'm working in Windows 2007.) I'll "save as" a Midi File (*mid). Then I'll choose "Format 1 - all instruments saved to separate tracks." And then a window pops up that says "Finale 2010 for Windows has stopped working." Anybody know what I could possibly be doing wrong?
