Please help: Yamaha Motif = no MIDI

I have a yamaha motif6 that has a direct USB jack (I assume no need to use midi cables). I have installed the driver and they show up when I open MIDI setup in Finale. Problem is nothing gets inputted when I try to use the Motif.

I've used Finale for a long time, and have never had problems. This is my first time using a high-end synth, though. Am I missing some other steps to set this up? I followed all the steps from help menus, etc.

Hoping for some help. This is really affecting my workflow...
