MIDI/Metronome/Playback data is messed up?

Hi, I'm new to the forums and finale, thanks for helping!
I'll record something in HyperScribe, but when the Metronome counts off, it doesn't give quarter notes, it randomly skips and goes faster. I'll count the number of notes myself and come in when I'm supposed to, and the music looks correct, but when I play it back, it skips just like the metronome did. Help!!
