I've restarted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled Finale v25 and when I start it up it doesn't respond except for this:

When I click on the Finale window after this has begun, the "Finale for Windows is not responding" window pops up. I'm running whatever the latest version of Windows 11 is.
This wasn't an issue for me 1-2 months ago when I last on Finale.
I don't know that this would affect it, but I've closed out of my DAW just in case when trying to start Finale, though I had Finale and Reaper open simultaneously in the past without either one failing on me.
For now I'm just going to let it sit for a while to see if I can gauge whether it's just a sluggish startup or if it won't start up at all.

I do not know if MAC systems have this issue, but it is virtually impossible to uninstall a program in Windows: a myriad of footprints remain in the registry that can continue to negatively effect a new installation. I use the Home Edition of the wonderful Registrar Registry Manager (Resplendance) to quickly purge leftover keys after uninstalling a program, run a search for any leftovers in File Explorer then reboot before a new installation. Windows' Regedit can do the same but with great labor. If you opt for the latter, backup your registry beforehand. I now use Acronis to fully control HDD and faithfully restore software whenever corrupted.

You need to remove the ">" from that link.ViSCfeRaL wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 2:45 amI've restarted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled Finale v25 and when I start it up it doesn't respond except for this:

Try going to C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming\MakeMusic\Finale 25 and removing the file finale.ini.
The AppData directory may be hidden, in which case click on the View menu in your username's directory and check the Hidden Files box.
