adding normal cue notes on a percussion page

On a percussion page, I need to put in normal-looking cue notes, but all I get are percussion symbols when I try to input a regular note. How do I change this? This happens even when I change the staff to a G-clef. I use Finale 2000, Macintosh system 9.2. Thanks!
