Assembling a very large score created in Finale 3 (Mac)

I have to rework a large, choral-orchestral score (over 2000 measures) created 10 years ago. In those days Finale was so slow that it was best to work in small sections and then paste them all together to create the parts. I find now, however, that when I insert a section I get all sorts of really unhelpful features - unwanted transpositions, measure expressions on every bar except just one, lyrics all over the place, staff lists ignored, etc, etc. Does anyone know if I'm just stuck with this or should I try to reload Finale 3.00 (!) when I'm sure there was no such problem (though there were lots of others!)? The thought of editing the detail of a score this long is not pleasant and I've a deadline!
