I have an M-Audio 49e keyboard that I have been using with Finale 2005.
It was working fine until I installed an E-MU 0404 sound card (with Proteus-X). The card seems to work fine with my other audio needs. I get the playback of my files OK. I can input notes to the score via the keyboard. What I am not getting is sound when I attack the notes on the keyboard.

I am using Windows XP Pro. The connection from keyboard to computer is USB. I re-installed the keyboard drivers. In the 'Midi Setup', Midi In is 'E-DSP Midi Port (9400)', and Midi Out is 'SmartMusic SoftSynth'. This configuration plays back my score perfectly, but when I want to use the keyboard to hear possible chords, etc., I get no sound. I've tried all combinations in 'Midi In', and 'Midi Out', and this is the only one that gives me playback sound.

As I said, before I installed the new card (and was working with on-board audio), I didn't have this problem. Is there some setting in Finale that I am missing? I sure would appreciate any help to straighten this out. Thank you.
