loss of sound

I was writing something today, and I constantly saved as audio file. After a while, the program kept freezing up. After a few reboots, I ran fin. 05 tried to play the file, and I wasn't getting any sounds. I aslo saved the file again, played it - no sound from that either.
All the basics: no other program running
Windows xp
-Other files and sounds outside of finale works.
I also tired reversing, or clearing the humanplayback to see if it would make a difference, but still no sound, any suggestions?
