I suppose that you have already locked the staff systems so that each movement ends at the end of a staff system,
- and the following movement begins a new staff system.

In this example let us say that we are talking about the "layout transition" between movement 2 and movement 3.

1) Measure Tool.
Double-click the last measure of mvmnt 2.
In the Measure Attributes, select as the right barline a Final Barline:

2) Page Layout Tool.
Select the first system of mvmnt 3.
Insert before mvmnt 3 a staff system system of 1 measure.

3) Optimize the inserted system so that it has only 1 staff.

4) Staff Tool.
Use a special, custom staff style to make the inserted (1-staff) system display nothing:

You can attach a movement title to this, non-displaying measure.

5) Measure Tool.
In the Measure Attributes for the inserted measure, select the option "Hide Cautionary Clefs, Key and Time Signatures":

6) In the Measure Attributes for the first measure of mvmnt 3, select to "Always Show" Time Signature:

I hope that this is clear?
If not, ask again.

It helped a lot.
But when the next movement changes the time signature or the key signature it apperars in the end of the movement before.

And how do i make the new movement start nubering from 1

My first guess would be that you have not followed my instructions, at least not completely.

Did you insert a staff system (of 1 measure) between the two movements?
If the inserted "in between" measure has the same key signature and time signature as the previous movement, then my instructions should work.

Watch my screen shots, and note all the red rectangles.
There is in the Measure Attributes for the inserted "in between" measure a selected option called "Hide Cautionary Clefs, Key and Time Signatures".

You will have to add multiple measure number regions, one region for each movement:
Document menu > Edit Measure Number Regions…

Your instructions are great! I've followed them to a "T", however that empty measure before my next movement still displays. Maybe I'm missing something, but I've double checked your instructions and have done everything. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum!

To find the culprit we need more info.
You tell that the empty measure before the next movement “still displays”.
What, exactly, does the measure display?
- clef?
- key signature?
- time signature?
- staff-lines?
- default whole rest?
- cautionary clef/key/time at the end of the measure?

Please explain.

The empty measure is showing. No clef or key signature, just the measure itself. Is there any way to hide that measure so there isn't just a random empty measure at the end of the movement?

If I understand you correctly, the empty measure displays only

- staff-lines,
- default whole rest,

and nothing else, i. e.

- no clef,
- no key signature,
- no time signature,
- no cautionary clef/key/time at the end of the measure,

right?

My guess is that you are missing my step 4) about using “a special, custom staff style to make the inserted (1-staff) system display nothing”.

Take a look at my screen shot “Staff Styles”, and note the (contents in the) three red rectangles.
