Hi,
I'm using Finale 2010. Using the bracket tool, I'm not able to maintain the arms of the bracket when I move it from a horizontal to a vertical position. The bracket's arms are fine when in horizontal or close to horizontal position, but as I move the bracket vertically, the arms gradually disappear until, when perfectly vertical, it is no longer a bracket but just a straight line. Any way to keep those bracket arms in place when in vertical position?
Thank you in advance,
Julian

If I understand you correctly, you are using the Smart Shape Tool's sub-tool Double-Ended Bracket Tool, right?
Instead, use the sub-tool Custom Line Tool.
Use a Custom Line with a Hook at both End Points.
You can customize the line, and give it the Line Thickness and the Hooks you need.

Thank you very much, worked perfectly. I didn't know that there were brackets in the Custom Line tool. Yes, exactly, I was using the double-ended Bracket Tool in the Smart Shapes menu.
