Has anyone else encountered problems with lyrics when using click and drag to copy rather than the crtl+c shortcut. I'm using finale 2012 windows. Sometimes when I click and drag a measure to copy (for example, 2 vocal lines singing the same thing) the file freaks out and I lose all of the lyrics I've typed in, either offset or gone completely.

I recommend that you do not include lyrics when copying music, since the Lyrics Window will soon become a mess.
(In the Copy Filter, de-select Lyrics)

Instead, add the Lyrics when you are done entering and copying music.

Tip:
Consider inputting the lyrics in the Lyrics Window, and attaching via Click Assignment.

In general, I'll agree with Peter. However, when I'm working on a four-part piece with the same lyric, sometimes I'll cheat, and drag the lyrics from staff to staff. I do it system by system, so I can keep a close eye on everything. I enter all the music, do the lyrics for one line, set the Filter for lyrics only, and drag.
