Finale version 2012c - Windows 7
File/New/Document with Setup Wizard...
---> "Unable to start the Setup Wizard because no document style files were found in the Document Styles directory."

The program was installed using our [installeruser] login/profile. Logging in as [installeruser] does NOT produce this error. (With the original [installeruser] login, starting the Setup Wizard brings up the first window of the Wizard process). All other computer users get the above error when attempting to use the Setup Wizard.

I have set a user up as Local Administrator and tried running Finale with that login - no go.

C:\ProgramData\MakeMusic\Finale 2012\Music Files\Document Styles\ exists and contains 4 folders (Band, Choral, General, and Orchestral) and two files ("Engraved Style.ftm" and "Handwritten Style.ftm"). Each of the folders contains two or more .ftm files.

Any ideas?

You might want to contact MM tech support. They can tell you exactly which files should be in what location.

I agree with Mike.
This is a case for the folks at Tech Support.

Meanwhile at little info:

What can be confusing, is that the same folder hierarchy is installed in two locations:
- at the root level
- in the user account

The root level folders serve as a backup.

The user account folders contain the files that the program actually uses, e. g. the Document Style documents for the Document Setup Wizard.

You may (or may not) be able to solve the problem by copying Finale documents from the one Document Styles folder (at root level) to the other Document Styles folder (in the user account).
