I want to deauthorize my Finale 2011 on Windows XP to format my computer and reinstall Finale later. So I opened Finale and went to Info menu and clicked on "Deauthorize Finale". Then it said that I should connect to internet and disable firewall. I disabled my Avast antivirus after disabling Windows Firewall didn't make any effect. And if I clicked again on "deauthorize Finale", the program said: "Finale has encountered an unknown error while attemting to deauthorize." What should I do?
Best Wishes

Contact Tech Support.

Remember, you can have as many installations as you want, although only two authorized at any one time. So go ahead and install on your new machine. You can use it, and not lose any time waiting for tech support to deauthorize your old one.
