Playback audio problems

Hi!

I asked this in Finale Midi Issues forum a few months ago and got no reply, trying again:

After minutes or hours from starting finale 2011, I always get one of these problems with playback (on both my windows vista and my friend's windows 7):

1. "Midi lock": hitting the stop/pause button stops playback, but the notes being played at the moment of stopping continue playing, being stuck like that for longer and longer durations each time. In instruments with no decay this is of course very annoying. "All notes off" option has no effect on this.

2. After minutes or hours of work on finale, sometimes after the pc goes back up from sleep, sometimes after loading a video on Youtube, Finale stops playing back the notes I enter while entering them, but still plays them when I hit play. After a while, Playback goes "mute" too: It seems to be playing back, scrolling and all, but nothing is heard. This doesn't happen while playing back, but between plays. The playback troubleshooting guide doesn't address this issue at all. I can hear audio from every other program running, but finale sound is dead.

Restarting finale always fixes the audio problems (for a while).
Why does this happen and what can I do?

No, I figured someone here must have tackled this if both me and my friend have on different pc's and os.
