2014 - Shift+Click for playback not working with touch pad

That's about it... when i run finale 2014 on my samsung laptop the shift+click playback doesn't work with the built in touchpad, but does work if I use a USB mouse... any ideas? I don't wanna carry my mouse everywhere only for this reason...
touchpad works fine on everything else...

Welcome to the forum!
Two ideas:
1) Perhaps it is necessary to make an audible click (= press hard) on the touchpad, not just a light finger-tap.
2) You can always ask the folks at MakeMusic’s Tech Support.
Your problem might be hardware specific (= specific to your Samsung laptop).
The folks at Tech Support know a lot about hardware specific issues.

i was clicking with the buttons, not tapping at the pad...

I am having the same problem, and simply "clicking harder" didn't solve it. Is there anything else that can be done?
