Hi,
Using Finale 2014 with an iMac. In playback mode, Finale inserted a pizz, where I did not indicate one. The only way I could get rid of it was by indicating "arco". I saw an earlier discussion about this but the fix around it does not apply to the 2014 version. This problem did not occur before, I've played back this phrase 3 or 4 times with no issues until now. I restarted computer, re-opened Finale, and problem still there.
Grateful in advance for a solution.
Playback error with pizzicato and arco

I think that we need more info:
a. What playback device are you using?
b. Are you using Human Playback?
c. Just a wild guess:
Did you perhaps create a new expression by duplicating an already existing expression (with playback effect pizzicato), and then edit this duplicate expression without editing its playback effect?

a. I'm using Finale 2014's regular playback.
b. Not using Human Playback. It is now set to Playback through Audio Units, which I think has always been the setting—I never changed it.
c. I checked after reading your question, and no, I didn't duplicate the expression. Very strangely, this problem became more or less solved after returning to work this morning—not sure what happened. Only once did I hear an arco passage played back staccato, but apart from this one time, so far has been ok.
